Alira 2.0

A better pose I think and  much closer to my original art (see below) that this piece is based on.

The Nightmare

The Nightmare is a xeno-mutant that results from a human being infected by a xeno-virus. The virus mutates the victim’s head in a matter of hours, causing the mutated skull to eject the eyeballs and push out of the victim’s mouth. The arms elongate and rip the skin of the lower arms exposing the muscular tissue. The same thing happens to the victim’s feet to a lesser extent. The infection vector comes from pustules that form on the victim’s skin that explode when the creature comes into contact with another living creature. The pustules release small insects that then infect any creature they come into contact with.
Perhaps I put a little more thought into this piece that I needed to.

SEM (scanning electron microscope) Image of a Tardegrade

Here’s an SEM image of the tardigrade (water bear), the toughest living organism on earth. These things can even survive in the vacuum of space. I did this one to look like a real SEM image (it’s not).;)
